LLU Fertility adds fifth doctor, Gihan Bareh, MD, PhD, to respond to growing community needs.
Loma Linda, Calif. (May 21, 2015) – In a continued expansion of services to adapt to growing community needs, Loma Linda University Center for Fertility & IVF has added a fifth doctor, reproductive endocrinologist Dr. Gihan Bareh.
Dr. Bareh joined the Center for Fertility after finishing her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Her clinical interests include polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), ovarian cryopreservation in cancer patients, endometriosis, unexplained infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss.
“Loma Linda Fertility treats all patients as individuals in clinical interaction and avoids one-size-fits-all medicine. Practicing at Loma Linda University means I get to provide personalized care,” said Dr. Bareh, who received her master’s degree in Reproductive Physiology.
“Overcoming infertility isn’t solely about treatment, it’s also important to help the individual or couple through a very difficult time. And developing a strong relationship is vital.”
Dr. Bareh, a native Egyptian, completed her doctorate and an Ob/Gyn residency at Suez Canal University, Ismailia. She later relocated to Ohio to complete a three-year research fellowship and Ph.D. in Reproductive Biology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Bareh stayed in Ohio to complete an Ob/Gyn residency with the Summa Health System before heading to Texas to complete her fellowship
