Johannah Corselli, Ph.D., ELD, HCLD
IVF Lab Director
Dr. Corselli is the director of the Loma Linda University Center for Fertility IVF program and lab, as well as the oocyte donation and tissue banking programs.
She is also an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine.
Dr. Corselli is recognized as a first generation clinical embryologist and assisted reproductive technologist. She was a co-founder of the Loma Linda University Center for Fertility in 1988.
Philip J. Chan Ph.D., HCLD
Andrology Lab Director
Dr. Chan joined the Loma Linda University Center for Fertility in 1989 as the lab director of andrology and molecular biology.
Since 1991, he has been a full-time professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Bioanalysts as an embryo lab director and as a high complexity laboratory director in embryology and andrology.
Evelyn Agcaoili, CLS
Evelyn is a clinical embryologist and has worked at the LLU Center for Fertility since 1994.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology in 1987 and received her professional license as a clinical laboratory scientist (CLS) in California in 1991.
Evelyn is also certified by the AAB in medical technology, with a focus on embryology and andrology.
In 2005, Evelyn obtained her master’s degree in clinical embryology and andrology from Eastern Virginia Medical School, which is the site of the first IVF program in the U.S., started by Drs. Howard and Georgianna Jones. The Virginia program was responsible for the birth of the first IVF baby in the U.S. in December 1981.
Leine Velasco, CLS
Leine is an assistant clinical embryologist and has worked at the LLU Center for Fertility since 1998.
She is responsible for the majority of clinical laboratory testing that is conducted in our lab.
In 1981, Leine received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. She came to the U.S. in 1982 where she gained more than 10 years of clinical experience working as a phlebotomist and laboratory assistant at the Sommer-Miller Laboratories, Westside Hospital, Saint Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles and at Kaiser Permanente in Riverside.
Leine obtained her clinical laboratory scientist (CLS) license in 1992.
