Man Li, MD, PhD, HCLD, NYS PGD, CGMBS, HCLD, ELD
Dr. Man Li is a certified High-Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) in the discipline of molecular diagnostics, with extensive experience in the field of genetics and molecular biology. She is also a certified HCLD in the discipline of embryology andrology. She holds a New York State PGD (molecular) director certificate. Her research on timely aneuploidy screening has profoundly impacted biopsy timing in the field of IVF with preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A).
Dr. Li received training in the United States and China. Her lengthy experience as a lab director spans over a decade. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS), in addition to the Chinese Medical Society of Gynecology & Obstetrics (COGA).
Samer (Sam) Aridah, B.Sc.
Senior Clinical Embryologist
Sam joined our LLU Fertility Center in 2018.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 in medical technology/biological sciences. He has extensive training in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Sam received his training in the United States, Canada and the U.K. He also received training at the Eastern Virginia Medical School, which is the site of the first IVF program in the U.S. He has long experience in the training and establishment of several IVF centers in the Middle East. Sam was a consultant for some nationally known IVF centers and has trained many embryologists in the IVF field. He is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the American Association of Bioanalysis (AAB), as well as the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS).
Leine Velasco, CLS
Leine is a clinical embryologist and has worked at the LLU Center for Fertility since 1998. She is responsible for the majority of clinical laboratory testing conducted in our lab and has experience working with embryos.
In 1981, Leine received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. She came to the U.S. in 1982 where she gained more than 10 years of clinical experience working as a laboratory assistant at the Sommer-Miller Laboratories, Westside Hospital, Saint Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles and at Kaiser Permanente in Riverside.
Leine obtained her clinical laboratory scientist (CLS) license in 1992.
