Medical Tourism for In Vitro Fertilization & Fertility Treatments
Loma Linda University (LLU) Center for Fertility & IVF has gained a local and international reputation for providing the highest quality of fertility care. We have knowledge and experience treating patients who come from across the United States and many other countries.
Of course, patients traveling to us for treatment, often known as medical tourists, receive the same excellent treatment and attention as our local patients. Our diagnostic services and treatments are available to all patients as recommended by our physicians to optimize outcomes. These services include intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF) with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), with or without a donor or third party surrogate, and preimplantation genetic testing (PGT).

Reasons medical tourists choose us for in vitro fertilization
At LLU Center for Fertility & IVF each patient sees his or her provider at every visit, resulting in truly individualized care. Our practice is one of the longest established fertility centers in the United States and has helped thousands of patients grow their families for more than 30 years.
Another quality that sets us apart from many centers is that the Center for Fertility & IVF has a fully accredited laboratory onsite with two lab directors both specializing in andrology, embryology and clinical laboratory services. This allows for our patients to communicate directly with the lab directors and have questions answered in the greatest detail to their own satisfaction.
The fertility clinic is affiliated with Loma Linda University Health System and Loma Linda University Medical Center, which allows the provision of additional services such as general health screening, obstetrics and gynecology and many others on the same campus. That relationship enables our staff to carry out the latest fertility research and to continue improvement in the field of fertility medicine – and our patients’ outcomes.
Additionally, our fertility physicians are fluent in Chinese and Arabic as well as English. Translators are available for any language.

Timeline for medical tourist fertility treatment
We understand that patients’ time away from home is limited and that fertility treatments may require large blocks of their valuable time. We do our best to make the process time efficient, especially for those traveling from outside the area.
We offer phone consultations when possible and work with each person to complete initial testing close to home before traveling to our practice. Some tests will require a visit to the practice prior to treatment.
After the treatment plan is established and a calendar of events is generated, the patient can begin making travel arrangements.
An IVF cycle leading to egg retrieval will require 10-21 days in the area for a patient or egg donor. A recipient or gestational surrogate will need to be close to the center for about a week.
After the transfer is complete, the patient can return home. The pregnancy test and early pregnancy care can be done by the patient’s own Ob/Gyn or primary care physician. We will continue to stay in e-contact with our patients and their physicians until after delivery.
While the male is not required to be available for all visits, most men elect to accompany their partners whenever possible.
